This novel plot revolves around an orphan as a baby, Jane struggles through her nearly loveless childhood and becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall. Small and facially plain, Jane is passionate and strongly principled and values freedom and independence.
Jane’s courage, resilience, and strong moral compass make her an enduring heroine. Her childhood has been full of struggles and hardships raised by her cruel and wealthy aunt Mrs. Reed. In her childhood, she would always ask justified questions to her aunt when she behaved harshly and punished Jane. She was outspoken and never behaved badly with Mrs. Reed despite her false unfair accusations.
Later she accepts a governess position at a manor called Thornfield, where she teaches a lively French girl named Adèle. She never fell into her desires over values and principles in life. Jane’s employer at Thornfield is a dark, ardent man named Rochester, with whom Jane finds herself falling secretly in love. She saves Rochester from a fire one night, which he claims was started by a drunken servant named Grace Poole. Jane expected Rochester to propose to Blanche a beautiful but vicious woman for marriage but he proposed to Jane.

The wedding day arrives, and as Jane and Mr. Rochester prepare to exchange their vows, Mr. Mason cries out that Rochester is already married to Bertha. Rochester accepts Manson’s claim and also explains that Bertha has gone mad. Jane escapes from Thornfield and after many dramatic events understands that Rochester is her true love. At Ferndean, Rochester and Jane rebuild their relationship and soon marry. At the end of her story, they live happily with their two kids.
Jane with her wisdom always expressed her feelings genuinely and maintained her resilience despite several adverse challenges. If the other people were rude and provocative, she would never behave like that and maintain her calm and empathetic attitude.
The fighting spirit of Jane from early childhood to adulthood is truly inspiring. The Gothic romance, the suspense, and vivid descriptions of the events in the manor are a thrilling read.
